Due to the high quality of the design documentation and the construction and installation works, the stadium was highly praised by the authorities and UEFA even before its completion. The cost of the project, the construction of the stadium and the park around it was USD 400,000,000.
From the outside, the stadium looks like a "flying saucer in a park". The roof of the stadium slopes from north to south, allowing natural light and ventilation to the pitch.
